A person sitting still, and the technique we chose to record this action, are at odds. The destruction and manipulation of time in this instance turns violent a seemingly neutral activity.
The image of a woman paired with an antagonistic speed metal soundtrack, renders a simple unadorned action as hostile and schizophrenic.
This video is unedited, it is a two minute “live” recording using Image/ine, developed by STEIM.
